Competitive Analysis

I developed two distinct user personas positioned at opposite ends of the dating app spectrum, each supported by detailed personality traits, behaviors, goals, and motivations. These personas helped identify diverse user needs and guided the creation of a more inclusive, user-centered design experience.

Wireframes

Key Takeaways

Trait reimagines online dating by shifting the focus from appearances to personality. Built around MBTI compatibility, the app encourages users to explore potential connections through shared traits, interests, and values rather than endless swiping. Features such as personality profiles, compatibility insights, community discussions, and match recommendations create a more intentional approach to meeting people.

This project challenged me to translate a complex personality framework into a clear and engaging digital experience. Through the process, I learned how thoughtful information architecture, intuitive user flows, and purposeful visual design can make complex information feel approachable and meaningful.
